Last Few

Saturday... watched Sweeney Todd in the morning at Vivo.  It was bloody, violent and dark... with Tim Burton's usual characters of pale face, dark eye-shadowed human beings.  8.1/10, but I think my gf didn't enjoy the show at all. =p

At night, I went to Toa Payoh to eat some zhi cha followed by The Bar at Regent Hotel to listen to Jeremy Monteiro (Singapore's King Of Swing) perform with some of my friends.  Sighz... Guess this will be the last few times when I can really relax and not give a damn about the exams.  Funny that it seems like I'm trying to enjoy myself more as the exams are getting closer... a form of denial I guess. O well... haven't found time to upload the pics yet... hopefully I will be able to do that soon.

The Night

Juz finished studying, wanted to continue but decided against it as I gotta wake up at 830 tmr morning. Going to catch Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street! No matter how guilty I'm going to feel after that, I strongly believe that I gotta get some of my life back!

Mbbs is one of the gayest thing anyone can come out wif, seriously.

No Life

Besides having no life, I attended the Gala Premiere to Jack Neo's Ah Long Pte Ltd held at Vivo City on 30th January. We saw a number of Mediacorp stars like Fann Wong, Mark Lee and of course Jack Neo himself, as well as others like Pan Ling Ling and her husband, ex-Victorian Felicia Chin and other young punks which I've never seen before. Just a quick note about the movie (not much spoilers ahead... =p) I thought Mark Lee's acting was excellent, much better than that of Fann Wong's portrayal of a Loan Shark chief (I'm not saying that her acting was lousy, just that Mark's take on a sissy was really funny and refreshing). The movie was filled with Jack Neo's usual style of catchy Hokkien/Mandarin songs although there were a few changes to his filming methods. Overall rating would be a 7.8 star out of 10. If you're out to have a relaxing and laugh-out-loud kindof evening, this show should be able to fit that criteria.

A little update on the hamsters. Few weeks back, we noticed that one of the hamsters was getting bullied by the others all the time. Initially we thought they were just playing around, but after noticing blood on her furry coat, we decided to seperate her from the others. Hence a new home for her. Btw, her name is "ah bui" which means fatty, cos she really is quite fat, sitting on her globules of meat all the time. After relocating her to her new home, the old cage appeared cleaner and easier to manage the next couple of weeks. We came to a conclusion that she was bullied cos she was the only one who did not pee or shit in the designated spot, thus dirtying the cage, and the other 2 furries were merely being clean and exacting rightful punishment on her.

Hmm... will upload the new hamster pics soon... need to get back to studying some really boring neonatal stuff. 5 more weeks to the exams!!! @#$!^(?@%^ =(
